Should political candidates be asked by reporters and voters what their religious views are? Richard Dawkins has mentioned that politicians should lie if belief in god is the only way to be elected, because it is an unjust reason, ceteris paribus. Rick Warren on the other hand would not trust someone who did not believe they were being watched and mind probed 24/7 as President.
So, having bought the sixth season of The West Wing, it was great to see this clip at the end of Episode 20: In God We Trust. Delivered by Senator Vinick (Alan Alda).
