Richard facing extinction

Through a process of artificial selection it appears that Richards are dying out as a species. The name Richard was the most popular 200 years ago, with 4,671 named in 1807. In 1907 it was 2,289 and in 2005 it was just 538 BBC news reports

We should appreciate the Richards that remain while we may still call on them. However it is not all doom and gloom as sub-species variations will remain with Sam (72nd) and Christopher (85th) to carry on the tradition of their fore bearers. But the most successful for the future will be the Daniel of the four horsemen.
