Dr. Andy Thomson on his new book Why We Believe in God(s): A Concise Guide to the Science of Faith.

Missed his talk as myself, and fellow British Richard Dawkins Foundation volunteers, were detained by police just outside the Pentagon, during the International Atheist Alliance in 2007. We had meant to be helping with the talk, but going through our photos took awhile. He kindly bought us all drinks on hearing our story.

That blog can be found here. A much younger inexperienced writer wrote then.

This blog exists in large part because he encouraged me to write what I had discussed with him and share my experiences with the Jehovah’s Witnesses. I shall always be grateful for sitting next to him at the lunch after his talk.
